Who We Are

Rooted in Faith. Growing in Grace.

Timbers Drive Church traces its beginnings to 1867, when a small group of believers gathered under a humble brush arbor in what was then called Poplar Head, now known as Dothan, Alabama. Led by Bro. Amburs Whittle, this faithful band of believers, worshiped beneath open skies, laying the spiritual foundation for generations to come.

From a log cabin with shuttered windows to a sanctuary filled with light, God has faithfully guided our journey. Though our name has changed over the years, our mission remains steadfast: to proclaim the gospel, teach God’s truth, and equip His people for service, as Ephesians 4:12 declares, “so that the body of Christ may be built up.”

Today, Timbers Drive Church offers a variety of ministries and resources designed to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and live a life that brings glory to God. We are a community committed to spiritual transformation, biblical teaching, and heartfelt worship.

Fellowship is the heartbeat of our church. We believe in gathering together to encourage, uplift, and spur one another on toward love and good deeds, just as Hebrews 10:24–25 reminds us. Whether you’re seeking answers, renewal, or a deeper walk with Christ, you’ll find a welcoming place here.

We invite you to join us-where legacy meets purpose, and every soul matters.
