Wonder and Joy

To think about heaven and all its glory,
Where the veil of sorrow is finally removed,
Fills my heart with wonder and joy.
Knowing that I'll forever sing a celestial tune,

A melody of supreme adoration,
In harmony with countless saints,
Echoing the theme of marvelous redemption,
And moving in the rhythm of grace.

We rejoice in Christ’s promise: "I go to prepare a place,"
And hope for an ageless reunion with loved ones so dear.
But what about seeing the beauty of His face?
What good is heaven if God's presence is not there?

The sea of glass, the streets of gold,
The gemstone walls, the angels' anthem,
The pearly gates, the majestic throne—
None of it matters without Him.

So anticipate Christ's imminent return,
And stand on the hope of heaven.
But strive to know Christ on this earth,
Because true satisfaction is found only when,
In our hearts, He has become preeminent.
